How to connect online with friends using Zoom
We all want to keep connected with friends and family during lockdown, but we can be put off by the prospect of using new technology. There are lots of different platforms on offer for connecting online. One of the main platforms is Zoom. Zoom is generally regarded as the easiest or more user friendly platform to use. If you are struggling to keep connected and are daunted by the prospect of using Zoom, here is a simple guide for connecting online.
To Join a meeting
- Open the Zoom mobile app. If you have not downloaded the Zoom mobile app yet, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
- Join a meeting using one of these methods: ...
- Enter the meeting ID number and your display name. ...
- Select if you would like to connect audio and/or video and tap Join Meeting.
If you want to set up a Zoom meeting, this is what you do:
Scheduling your first meeting
- Sign in to your Zoom web portal.
- Click Meetings.
- Click Schedule a Meeting.
- Choose the date and time for your meeting.
- (Optional) Select any other settings you would like to use.
- Click Save.
