I love to hear about women making and finding new friends on the site. It makes it all seem worthwhile. Here are some recent members stories of finding friendship and companionship.

ÂI joined togetherfriends immediately after reading about it in the paper and within a few days was sending messages to other ladies who had joined and was receiving messages also. I thought the site was fantastic, It was very relaxed, made no demands, was easy to negotiate and had a very low joining fee.
I arranged to meet a couple of ladies for a coffee and from thereon there was no looking back. Those ladies have become very good friends to me. Alison and I got on well from the day we met and our friendship has grown as we have got to know each other better. We have introduced husbands and enjoyed meals out , dinner at each others houses, shopping and innumerable cups of coffees!! I felt that we were becoming good friends when we could discuss problems and concerns with each other about family , life, etc and know the other one wouldnt judge but would empathise and listen , traits that are fantastic in a good friend!
I try to keep up to date with togetherfriends and love the way it is moving forward. I also try to contact new members joining the site as I know how nerve wracking it can be wondering if anyone will message you when you first join.
I think togetherfriends is a fantastic way for like-minded women to meet up safely and securely.'
'I am 50+ years old and have three children and two grandchildren. I was a teacher until about 5 years ago, when my husband took early retirement, and with that and other family commitments, I decided to stop working. However, since I left work I found that many of my friends were still busy, and making other friends outside of the school environment is not easy. But then I discovered togetherfriends. Jane was the first person who contacted me, and we just clicked! I remember meeting her for a coffee for the first time, and thinking how similar she was to me. That was eighteen months ago, and now we are well and truly excellent friends. We share the same taste in books, cooking, family and most definitely shopping trips, which can be expensive ..... we share confidences and talk about life. It really is that simple.
